. It sits raised in an enclosure that is subjected to water spray and wet road muck like gravel and mud. A hole on the bottom is supposed to drain the wet muck. Unfortunately the hole is small enough to become easily blocked. The wet muck will build up and submerge the lower part of your solenoid/fuse assembly. Then corrosion sets in as there is a current through the exposed connectors and fuse. In fact, I found about 30% of the the blade on the 30A fuse corroded and the connectors starting to corrode. Not good. This is a design flaw that needs to be addressed by Triumph. But for now it is important that you routinely remove the battery and check & clean the enclosure below. Especially after an off-road trip in the wet. And also make sure the drain hole is clear, this can also be done after a ride from the underside without removing the battery. As an extra precaution, I have also used dielectric silicon grease as future moisture protection on the connectors. Keep a spare 30A fuse too. It's critical to everything!
